Why is a Shibu Inu pet considered the best pet in the game?

Seems like the best pet should be one that helps with the following:

  1. Battle
  2. Searching
  3. Survival
  4. or ?

    I've heard that line too, and I don't agree that it's the best pet. There is no "best." People likely say that because it's a cash pet and they want to get as much ducats for the deed as possible.

    The Shiba Inu helps with searching though, from what I read on the Japanese wiki.

    Pets are tailored to the needs of the character, so choose a pet that would suit the needs of what your character wants as a bonus.

    Why some say that is because its i think the only pet with land/sea search as one skill.

    And like white said they talk it up as well to keep the price high
