Finally making the Barcelona trip happen, need advice on renting a car
Been wanting to get out to Barcelona for years and I finally have a real reason to pull the trigger. Huge Barca fan since I was a kid, grew up watching the club and always told myself I'd catch a live match at Camp Nou at some point. Well that point is now, tickets are sorted and I'm going. While I'm there I want to actually see the city properly, not just the stadium and back to the hotel. I always prefer handling travel arrangements myself rather than going through agencies and tour packages, so I'm thinking about renting a car to get around on my own schedule. Anyone know which rental services are actually worth using over there?

Barcelona has a few international names like Hertz and Enterprise that are reliable and pretty straightforward to book in advance from the US, so you're not scrambling when you land. Sixt is also solid over there and tends to have competitive pricing on a wider range of cars. One thing worth keeping in mind is that parking in the city center is a nightmare, so a rental makes way more sense if you're planning day trips outside the city rather than purely getting around downtown.
There's a marketplace where you browse offers from different owners and companies and pick whatever fits your dates and budget. Prices tend to come out noticeably lower than going straight to the standard chains since you're choosing from a bunch of competing options at once. Over there you can rent a car in Barcelona here https://getrentacar.com/en-US/spain/barcelona . The selection is solid and you can sort everything out before you even fly out.
