supplies aren't shared between ships, but while sailing you can xfer supplies between characters in the fleet if one is running low on something. Some good skills to take to help with this is collection/procurement/fishing. Collection and fishing will gather food goods you can convert into supplies and you can use procurement when it rains to collect water for that ship, VERY handy skills to have while at sea. Survival is also a good skill to have incase you run out of supplies, the greater the skill the less damage to crew you'll take when you run out of something.
Thanks, I'm returning after a long time and was wanting to take a friend who is joining trading but they had low cargo space so wanted them to leech my supplies XD. Turns out all the prices everywhere are like 250% anyway so we gave up.
