I'm not encouraging them, they've solved a big problem. It's not always easy for non/ low cash spenders to get ct in the game so most are stuck with the 20b limit and can't afford to buy items with high ct cost. Now people can hold 220b for trades which helps the trade market be on amore level playing field.
When top ships are selling for 100's of ct, trading becomes awkward with 200ct cap without a CA to moderate. Now you can trade both ct & ducet together and reduce the demand on the CAs.
Money is easy to make in this game and since it's grown so vast with content, a better currency means was inevitable.

OMG, how sad! Ships should not cost billions. What they need to do is fix the Economy and reduce prices a few decimal places. Don't encourage them.
