[INFO] Lost Saga Abuse Policy & Moderation Guidelines

Attention Lost Saga Mercenaries!

We are committed to ensuring that Lost Saga remains a safe, welcoming and enjoyable place for everyone. To that end, we will not tolerate any form of abuse that seeks to disrupt or destroy anyone's experience in-game.

The following details the Abuse Policy & Moderation Guidelines covering in-game behaviour at all times. The violation of any of these can result in penalties against offenders.


Hack tools Usage

  • The usage of hack tools or any other form of illegal programs is strictly prohibited.
  • Permanent ban on all accounts (non-appealable).


Promoting Hack tools

  • Players found promoting hack tools will be severely dealt with. Promotion of hack tools includes messaging other players in the lobby, private messages and/or in-game chats.
  • Permanent account ban.


Hack Assisting

  • Hack Assisting involves providing assistance to unfair gameplay and hacks, and players will be heavily penalised. This includes intentionally teaming with hackers. Instead, players should record the gameplay of suspected hackers and report them.
  • 7 days to permanent account ban.


Bug Abuse & Macro Abuse

  • Players that are found intentionally abusing bugs will receive a ban on their account. 
  • Usage of macro programs to give yourself an unfair advantage is not allowed.
  • 7 days to Permanent ban. 


False Report (Support Ticket)

  • Players that submit false reports will be punished. False reporting is when a player attempts to fake an Abuse Report with the purpose of misleading the GMs. An example includes reporting a clean player as a hacker or bug abuser through the submission of fabricated evidence.
  • Permanent ban.


Farming/Match Fixing

  • Includes any type of farming such as free kills, farming EXP etc. 
  • Bans, decrease in EXP, level, mercenary level, GP etc. as appropriate. 
  • Removal of any items/rewards obtained as a result of farming. 


File Modification

  • Players that are found modifying their Lost Saga files will have their accounts banned.
  • Account ban, both limited and permanent.


Impersonating a GM/CR or Inappropriate Nickname

  • Players who are caught impersonating a GM/CR by including the official GM prefixes in their nickname and those who have names that are deemed as inappropriate such as containing vulgar and/or obscene words/phrases will be penalised.
  • Name change & account ban for serious offences.


Harassment of/Insult to GM/CR

  • Players who are rude to official GMs/CRs will be strictly dealt with. Examples include taunting official personnel or scolding them through the usage of offensive words.
  • 7 to 90 days account ban.


Interfering with a GM/CR’s duties

  • Players that are found obstructing GM/CR in carrying out their official duties such as by disrupting events will be penalised.
  • 3 days to permanent account ban.

IMPORTANT NOTE

The above policies are guidelines. All/Any abusive actions (even those not listed above) are subject to penalty at Vertigo Games International’s sole discretion depending on severity. The degree of the penalty and the action taken by Vertigo Games International, as a result, will also be at Vertigo Games International’s sole discretion.

Note: Vertigo Games International reserves the right to refuse service to anyone at any time. For extreme cases, banning of accounts may be given out without any warning. The penalties above serve as a guideline and may be adjusted on a case to case basis.

    Offensive Insults/Harassment

    • Players who are found to be insulting or using hurtful language towards other players will be strictly dealt with. Discriminatory, homophobic, racist or religiously insensitive remarks will not be tolerated at all times and will warrant higher ban durations. 
    • 1 to 90 days account ban.


    Scamming

    • Players who scam, or attempt to scam, other players’ accounts will be strictly punished. This includes asking for other players’ ID usernames and passwords in an attempt to obtain access to their account or attempting to defraud others of their money/items.
    • Permanent account ban.


    Sharing of personal information

    • Disclosing of personal information of players or Lost Saga Staff to identify, contact, or locate a single person is a punishable offence. This includes sharing other players’ real names, pictures, phone numbers, and addresses.
    • 30 days to permanent account ban.


    Account selling

    • The selling of accounts is not allowed. This includes the trading of items that represent any monetary value such as in-game items for real money, game load, prepaid load, or any other item outside of the game.
    • Account ban, both limited and permanent.


    Spamming

    • Spamming is when a player types messages repeatedly on screen to the point that it disrupts normal conversations between other players and the game as well. This can bother or harass other players or draw useless attention to one's self.
    • 3 days to permanent account ban.
