Forum Rules
1. No discrimination or slurs related to gender, gender identity, sexuality, ethnicity, physical/mental ability, nationality, or religion. Not even if it's "just a joke."
2. No posting pornographic/objectionable images or content. If you would not be comfortable with it on your screen in an office, do not post it.
3. No mention of rape or suicide.
4. No promotion of activities or services which violate the TOU. This includes (but is not limited to) private servers, real-world trading (RWT), account trading, third-party programs, or game exploitation.
5. No promotion of websites, channels, streams, or other media, unless linked as part of a guide in the appropriate page. Mentioning in conversation is fine, within reasonable limits.
6. No posting personal information or photographs of other users without their explicit approval.
7. No political debates or references. Discussions are fine but open disagreements invariably escalate and turn ugly.
8. No impersonation of game staff or players.
9. No spamming or otherwise excessive repetition of the same post or reply. No cross-posting the same message/request across multiple topic pagess.
10. Disciplinary actions are to be discussed/appealed in private with mods only, not through open posting.
11. No bumping threads more than once every 3 days. No thread necromancy (posting in a discussion that's been inactive for 3 months or more).
12. Criticism of the game is permitted, but non-constructive hostility towards the game and/or staff is not.
13. This forum is administered and moderated in English, so keep chat discussions in English. Lack of comprehension does not excuse violation of the rules. We are open to non-English topic pages if we can ensure they will be moderated.
14. Please limit discussion of other games to the Off Topic page, because otherwise someone inevitably misinterprets them as being about us.
15. You are not entitled to GM/moderator time or attention. We respond and assist through discussions/PM's if and when we can, but we are not obligated to respond to questions or support requests made through the forums. If your situation requires attention, please send a support ticket.
16. Any attempt to excuse behavior under “Freedom of Speech” will result in an immediate mute, pending delivery of a self-written, proofread paper on which country’s free speech laws apply to users of a Canadian-operated channel for a Korean-operated company whose home office is in Singapore. Minimum 10,000 words. Properly cite all sources.
17. Attempting to blatantly violate the spirit of the rules while strictly staying within the letter is considered effectively breaking them.
Nine Dragons is limited to players of age 15 or older, so we expect a certain amount of crass/risque humor. Nonetheless, players may be asked to "tone it down" if things get out of hand. The purpose of the rules is to create a welcoming space for constructive, friendly discussion of the game. Moderator actions are foremost done with this in mind, even if not strictly dictated by the rules.
