You cant play with your Main acc via Steam.
If you download the steam version of the game you are forced to create a new Acc (which is hooked to your steam ID/ACC)
This acc will get free 8 weapons / items permanent. Such as: M60, Smokegrenade & the MedicKit2
The steam version of the game should be a little bit more stable than the default version. Oh and you get another server you can connect to. Thats all.
