ALL the requirements
All I asked is if anyone knew all the requirements. I've been Otto before, but the defect button was not there. I even waited until after ESF, in case that had an effect. The wiki is outdated. The statuses are different and you do not get notoriety, so why should I believe any of it. I simply asked if anyone knew ALL the requirements.
Instead I get attacked and accused, then group think starts, and others attack.
I simply come on UWO to chat. Maybe it is difficult for people without mental problems to understand.
I'll spend my money elsewhere. Keep in mind, someone has already taken =Abbye= I saw as I was giving away all my stuff, ducats, cheques and captain's tickets.

Live by the troll die by the troll
Ironic...he could dish out the trolling but couldn't save himself from it
We will miss you Abbye. Hope you come back to UWO someday.
Im pretty sure your fame level is far too low
The fame requirement is 200k. I had 217k+
Also, cannot have a quest active (guild or imperial). I did not know that the first time I defected and it drove me crazy wondering what I had done wrong.
I did not have any quests, imperial or otherwise.
Hello,
This is the UWO Support Team.
We recently observed that active Oxford Research can also prevent players from being able to defect. Do you know if an Oxford Research task was being undertaken at that time?
Best Regards,
Team Uncharted Waters
I had a had a hard time defecting to Otto to. I had to do a ridiculous amount of correspondence but was finally able to get through. I don't remember what status i had to reach might have been "sworn allies" but not positive. I did however have an active oxford going at the time but no quest since i was focused on doing the corresponding.
I do not recall. I had already completed Oxford for the skills I would use. I had been doing Shipwreck History with Advanced building **. However, since I had reached 50/50/50, and prefer to keep my levels even, I wasn't actively looking for XP. I may have had a research that was completed, but not reported. I just don't remember.
This seems to be the most plausible explanation, but we will never know.
