Storytime: How I accidentally gave myself unlimited power over currency and how it ended

So y'all remember me for starting Auctions but what I never told you guys about was my "other endeavor" and how it got totally out of hand and I had to stop.
Back on OGP I was auctioning things for players and business was good, my company was booming and I had every material thing I ever wanted in game. So I wanted to give back and some of you OLD players may remember this but I started an in game lottery called Crzy's Lottery. What this lottery essentially was to sum it up is I would sell lottery tickets to players for 5mil a piece. They would pick 6 numbers I'd record them and I would put 4 mil of the money to the jackpot and keep 1 mil for myself because of how much book keeping was required. Every Sunday I would draw 6 numbers and if they chose the 6 numbers they win the jackpot. However in my lottery after 2 weeks if there was no winner I would keep drawing numbers until someone won simple enough right? Well so it would seem...
Well heres where things went crazy. I was doing the lottery on the side and I was noticing that people really liked the lottery and they were buying tickets like crazy. I was making ok cash not nearly as much as auctioning but it was ok. Then people started requesting to buy large sums of lottery tickets I'm talking like...50 to 100 ticks a piece. They figured if they bought a lot they would eventually win some $ back or make more money if they won. Kind of like "investing". So I spent most time bookkeeping the lottery recording numbers and paying out. People loved it so I obliged even though it was hard work.
So there was a cute outfit I wanted one day I messaged the seller to buy. It was overpriced so I declined their price they said I could pay in lottery tickets instead... I think you see where this is going. So I paid in like 60 lottery tickets with 20% discount for my commission. In that moment I accidentally created a new currency in the form of lottery tickets oh it gets crazier. The request got weirder and more intricate...Hey Crzy can I buy 100 tickets, 50 tickets. Crzy let me auto buy tickets like a recurring subscription. Crazy stuff.
Can it get crazier? Have you met me? Lol YES. I had so much money I was holding for the jackpot and of my own money I couldn't auction because on OGP you can only keep 3 characters or you get banned if you create more alts. So I decided to scale it back and only sell a finite amount each day I forgot the amount of tickets. Well that only made things worse 🤦🏽♀️. It actually INFLATED the price of the tickets... Because people would rush in to buy up the tickets in bulk then sell them to others who didnt get a chance to buy. Crzy give player A 10 of my tickets hes buying for 10 mil a piece. Why? Remember every 2 weeks theres a guaranteed winner so that last day people were buying like crazy and reselling to others And I'd collect a fee on that aswell. Essentially a mini economy flowing through one player. I learned that some of this game's players have a SERIOUS gambling addiction.
So to Recap
Created my own unregulated currency
Could use my own currency to buy goods at a 20% discount.
Unlimited amount of currency I could control like a fed bank
Make commission off every buy or sell transaction of said currency
Power to inflate and deflate the price of the currency at will
INSANE POWER I actually felt bad about it...😔
Conclusion
So heres where it stopped...I discussed it all in my company because I had concerns and my company mates made me privvy to the fact that large sums of money are passing to you with nothing in return unlike an auction where there is an actual good exchanged for money. On paper it will look like you're a gold seller or RMT😳. In addition to the GM can say your lottery is disrupting gameplay and ban you based on that because they can't regulate lottery tickets or risk having a player with power to control an unregulated currency. So with the fear of getting banned and players losing their cash, all my gametime devoted to bookeeping, no room for auctions, guilt possibly fueling a gambling addiction in players and for what I considered " too much power" for a player to have I decided to end the lottery. I made a mad dash to return all the cash and items from lottery tickets to all the players in hopes players would forget ASAP to get any attention off me to avoid the ban hammer and reclaim my game time back.
