Suggestion Regarding Premium Items and Gameplay Balance
Dear BlackShot Support Team, I would like to share some feedback regarding the way premium items affect gameplay in BlackShot. First, I sincerely apologize if my feedback comes across as criticism or disrespect toward the BlackShot team. That is not my intention. I am sharing this only because I care about the game and would like to see BlackShot continue to grow and remain enjoyable for both paying and non-paying players. I completely understand that BlackShot needs revenue to operate and maintain its servers, internet infrastructure, electricity, employee salaries, game development, updates, and other expenses. I also understand that premium items are an important part of supporting the game. My concern is not about having paid items. My concern is when paid items provide direct gameplay advantages over players who do not purchase them. For example, in PUBG, many weapon skins are primarily cosmetic. A player can purchase and use a different weapon appearance, but the skin itself does not increase the weapon's damage, accuracy, recoil control, or other important gameplay statistics. I would like to suggest a similar approach for BlackShot: allow players to purchase attractive weapon skins, character skins, effects, animations, accessories, and other premium cosmetic items, while keeping their gameplay performance equal. This would allow BlackShot to continue generating revenue while making the competitive environment more skill-based and fair for everyone. I believe this approach could benefit both the players and the developers. Players would feel that they are supporting the game without being required to spend money to remain competitive, while BlackShot could continue earning revenue through appealing cosmetic content. I really enjoy BlackShot and would like to see the game grow for many more years. I hope the development team will consider this suggestion and find a good balance between fair competitive gameplay and sustainable monetization. Thank you for taking the time to read my feedback and for all the work you put into maintaining and developing BlackShot. Best regards, A BlackShot Player
I would also like to share one additional thought regarding the long-term growth of BlackShot. If BlackShot moves toward a skill-based “play-to-win” model rather than a purchase-based competitive advantage model, I believe it could create greater opportunities for the game in the long term. A fair and competitive environment can encourage more players to participate, build a stronger player community, and make the game more attractive for esports organizations and potential sponsors. Games such as PUBG/BGMI have demonstrated how regular seasons, rank resets, events, tournaments, and competitive esports can create additional opportunities for sponsorships, prize pools, advertising, and other forms of revenue. Therefore, reducing direct gameplay advantages from paid items does not necessarily mean reducing the game's earning potential. In my opinion, it could instead help BlackShot develop a larger and more engaged player base, which may create new and sustainable revenue opportunities through sponsorships, esports tournaments, events, cosmetic purchases, collaborations, and other forms of monetization. My hope is that BlackShot can continue to generate revenue while making skill and teamwork the primary factors that determine competitive success. I believe this could make the game more appealing to both existing players and new players, while also creating a stronger foundation for the game's future growth.
